The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have submitted fresh tariffed price-to-compare rates for residential and commercial customers, designated under Rider H, to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) for the six-month term starting on December 1st, 2023. But don't worry, Pennsylvania is deregulated and customers have a choice when it comes to who their
electricity supplier is.
At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTC Default rate will be $0.11306 per kWh, a 10% increase versus the current $0.10240 per kWh.
At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTC Default rate will be $0.10607 per kWh, a 9% increase versus the $0.09703 per kWh.
At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC Default rate will be $0.11231 per kWh a 6% increase versus the current $0.10556 per kWh.
At
West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTC Default rate will be $0.10001 per kWh an increase versus the current $0.09929 per per kWh.
At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC Default rate will be $0.11872 per kWh, an 11% increase versus the current $0.10679 per kWh.
At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC Default rate will be $0.11603 per kWh, a 5% increase versus the $0.11037 per kWh.
At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC Default rate will be $0.13109 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, versus the current $0.12890 per kWh
At
West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC Default rate will be $0.11023 per kWh effective December 1, 2023, versus the current $0.10959 per kWh
All of the new PTC Default rates described above are to be in effect for the six-month period December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024
